What's new
What changed in the 42Runs app, newest version first. Everything here is for iOS and Android, unless it says otherwise.
Version 1.3.3
27 October 2026
- Connect Garmin directly in the app: sign in with your Garmin account, planned workouts go to Garmin Connect, and your runs come back from now on
- What's new is now in Settings
- Where we show Garmin data, or something calculated from it, we name Garmin as the source
- Clearer messages if Garmin needs permission, is full for now, or you need to connect again
- Small fixes and improvements
- Connect Polar directly in the app: sign in with your Polar account, and your runs come back from now on
- Polar cannot receive planned workouts yet — follow the plan in the app
- Where we show Polar data, or something calculated from it, we name Polar as the source
Version 1.3.2
27 October 2026
- A new look for Home: workout cards with the distance big, the brand colour once it's done, quick feel buttons, your load and average heart rate, and a tap on a planned workout opens its details
- One Form card: Form large in its zone colour, Fitness and Fatigue with their trend lines, and one line of advice
- A new activity screen: one scrolling page with a full-width map that shrinks as you scroll, key numbers, a chart you can switch between heart rate, pace and more, intervals and time in zones. It opens faster too
- Your week as a full overview: the map of your longest run or your own photo, and share it as a picture
- Planned workouts show their own estimated load
- Choose your mountain header on the Athlete tab; clearer sleep and recovery charts
- Choose whether your Training Load is based on pace or on heart rate
- Apple Watch: connecting puts your upcoming workouts on the watch right away, and disconnecting takes them off (iOS)
- Small fixes and improvements
Version 1.3.1
26 October 2026
- Your week at a glance: a Sunday-evening card on Home with what you did and what's coming up (with an optional reminder you can switch off)
- A bigger race countdown, with the week of your plan and your predicted time
- Building a plan: say if you're a beginner or experienced, type in your Threshold Pace right in the plan builder, and get a Threshold HR suggestion
- Small fixes and improvements
Version 1.3.0
23 October 2026
- Apple Watch only? Your workouts now show "Pushed to Apple Watch" instead of "Not synced yet", and a workout you move or add no longer shows a false "Couldn't sync" (iOS)
- Plans and workouts go to each of your watches separately, so a problem with one connection no longer marks the others as failed
- If you connect intervals.icu next to Suunto or Polar, we tell you how to avoid the same workout arriving twice
- Small fixes and improvements
